An Introduction to the College of Education
Century passing, continuous coming down & a hundred years of hard work makes the College of Education who she is. The predecessor of the College of Education is Qinzhou Normal School. The College has two undergraduate majors: primary education and pre-school education, and a three-year general normal college major. There are 59 faculty members, including 7 professors, 17 associate professors, 27 masters , 10 double-qualified teachers, 1 district-level teaching team ,1 small highland for teachers' education talents in Qinzhou and 1025 full-time students.
Since 2004, our college has nurtured and provided more than 6,000 graduates for the country. The employment rate of graduates has been stable at over 95% every year, and the corresponding rate of employment majors is over 93%. Graduates are generally praised by employers.
There are more than 50 training rooms in the Integrated Training Center for Teacher Education such as Teachers’ Comprehensive Skills Training Room, Intelligent Classroom, Distance Teaching Viewing and Emulating Room, Modern Education Technology Training Room , Intelligent Teaching &Training Room of Calligraphy & Painting, Montessori Teaching Method Training Room, Orff Music Teaching and Training Room, Digital Piano Room, Handcraft Training Room, Dance and Physique Training Room . The College has also built a teaching reform and research base of Guangxi Basic Education School. 12 million yuan has been invested in the construction of the teaching experiment center for normal students, which strongly supports the need for teachers and students to carry out vocational skills training. The off-campus practice bases include more than 20 demonstration schools such as Qinzhou Experimental Primary School, Qinzhou Renhe Primary School, Qinzhou Zicai Primary School, Qinzhou Kindergarten and Qinzhou No. 1 kindergarten.
The Colleges of Education, with many years of educational history, has accumulated rich experience and formed distinct professional characteristics in the practice of teacher education and training at different levels of "secondary normal school-junior college-undergraduate". Our college has achieved remarkable results in teacher education research and subject construction. Our teachers are presiding over one project of the National Social Science Fund, one project of the Ministry of Education's humanities and Social Science Planning, 15 projects at provincial and departmental levels, with a total scientific research fund of more than 3 million yuan, and have completed the training task of 1.1 million yuan of transverse funds. 16 academic monographs, 14 textbooks and nearly 400 papers (more than 60 in core journals) have been published.
The College will adhere to Mr. Tao Xingzhi's educational thought, take moral education as the foundation, take teaching as the center, take local demand as the orientation, persevere in the school-running idea of " developing a college with high quality, talents and scientific research", and focus on training high-level applied talents with both ability and morality.
